Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is a grant?

DEFINITION OF A GRANT: "Grants are government or corporate funds used to assist individuals' ideas and projects in providing public services and stimulating the economy."

Grants are usually awarded by organizations or government agencies to individuals or organizations for specific purposes, such as research projects, educational programs, or community development initiatives. Unlike loans, grants do not need to be repaid because they are not considered a debt.

Grants are typically awarded based on certain criteria, such as the applicant's qualifications, the relevance of the proposed project or program to the grantor's objectives, and the potential impact of the grant-funded activities. Once the grant is awarded, the recipient is expected to use the funds for the specified purposes and to report on the progress and outcomes of the project or program.

Because grants are awarded to promote specific goals or public interests, the funds are considered a public investment rather than a loan. The grantor expects that the project or program will produce positive outcomes that will benefit society, and the grant recipient is not expected to repay the grant unless there is a breach of contract or failure to comply with the terms of the grant agreement.

What are the requirements?

  • You must be a business owner in the United States

  • You must have an active LLC, S-Corp, or S-Corp and an Employer Identification Number (EIN)

  • You will be able to fill out one form with American Funding Group and answer 30+ questions to be paired with our best grant

Approval Rate?

The average approval rate for obtaining a grant is 30% to 40%. Therefore, if we apply for you to 4 to 8 grants in 1 year, there should be an approval rate of 1 to 3 grants being approved per year.

Results vary based on how much information you provide and your willingness to furnish us with more information that the grantor may need during the grant approval process.

Is there a Guarantee?

NO, there are NO GUARANTEES that you will be approved for any grants, although we have a very high success rate.

Our mission is to further increase the number of businesses funded by grants this year.

American Funding Group is not the institution that will approve or decline grant applicants or the grantors who distribute the funds. We have no control over the grantor's decision to approve or decline your grant application. Therefore, we can not guarantee that your grant application will be approved.

Is this is a loan?

No, this program is not considered a loan in any way. Please refer to the definitions of a grant versus a loan provided below:

DEFINITION OF A GRANT:

"Grants are government or corporate funds used to help individuals' ideas and projects to provide public services and stimulate the economy."

DEFINITION OF A LOAN:

"A loan is a debt incurred by an individual or entity. The other party in the transaction is called a lender - usually a government, financial institution, or corporation - that lends the required sum of money to the borrower."

This is a grant and not a loan. Therefore, these funds do not need to be repaid, and the rewards are not distributed as a loan but as a grant.
